Guest SA Intruder Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 The supply to the motor run switch (in the wiper motor itself) is missing. And the wiper motor is only getting the intermittant wipe supply, possibly a poor earth or dirty connector at the motor. You may have a fault in the stalk, the wipe relay (they suffer from solder joint problems) or a wiring/fuse issue. My bet would be the relay... Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 I have a problem with the rear wiper on my Gal - it makes the "outgoing" sweep OK, starts the return journey but stops about 15 deg into the arc, waits about 1 second then continues OK. I've just learnt to live with it. Quote
Guest Porker Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Ditto, the problem on the rear Wash Wipe. Same symptoms. '98 S Alhambra Quote
Richmond Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 I had a similar rear wiper problem on a Volvo 940; it was caused by wear in the linkage between the motor and the wiper itself. I don't know if the set up on the Galaxy makes this a possibility or not. Quote
